Slimline Weathershield / Monsoon Guard Set

THE "SAUNA" STRUGGLE: Why Rain Shouldn't Mean Driving in a Fogged-Up Cabin

We've all been there.

It's a rainy day, the windows are starting to fog, and the cabin is getting stuffy. But the moment you crack the window even an inch, water drips onto your armrest, your switches, and your leg. You're forced to choose between being humid and uncomfortable or getting soaked.

And let's not talk about the old-school "bubble" guards that look like they belong on a 1980s tractor.

Introducing: The Syndicate Slimline Weathershields

These aren't your grandpa's chunky monsoon guards. We've sourced a high-definition, slimline profile designed to follow the sleek roofline of the 185-series. They offer all the protection of a traditional weathershield without the bulky "plastic-ear" look.

Why These Are the Cleanest Comfort Upgrade for Your Surf:

• FRESH AIR, ANY WEATHER: Crack your windows a few inches during a downpour to let the cabin breathe and keep the fog off your windscreen, all while staying bone dry.
• SLIMLINE "STEALTH" AESTHETIC: These guards sit tight against the body. They complement the 3rd Gen's lines instead of hiding them. It's the "OEM-plus" look that separates a clean build from a cluttered one.
• SMOKED TRANSPARENCY: Finished in a dark tint that looks black from a distance but remains transparent from the driver's seat. It doubles as a sun visor for that annoying late-afternoon glare coming through the side window.
• REDUCED WIND BUFFETING: Ever get that "helicopter" thumping sound when you open a window at 100km/h? These shields aerodynamically redirect the airflow, letting you enjoy the breeze without the ear-splitting turbulence.
• 3M TOOL-LESS INSTALL: No drilling, no clips that scratch your paint, and no mechanic required headaches. These use genuine high-bond 3M adhesive tape for a 10-minute install that stays put at highway speeds and through the car wash.

• ✅ Full 4-Piece Set: Covers both front and rear windows for a uniform, complete look.
• ✅ FREE Worldwide Shipping: We ship these in reinforced packaging to ensure they arrive snap-free.
• ✅ Tough Acrylic Construction: Built to withstand the UV rays and the occasional branch swipe on the trail.
• ✅ Precision Fitment: Contoured specifically for the 1996–2002 Hilux Surf and 4Runner door frames.

Don't let the rain dictate your comfort. Keep the air flowing and the style high with the lowest profile guards on the market.

Stealth look. Fresh air. No compromises.

Frequently asked questions

Will these weathershields fit my 3rd Gen Hilux Surf?

Yes. The Slimline Weathershield set is precision-contoured for the 1996-2002 Hilux Surf and 4Runner (185 series). The four pieces fit both front and rear door frames on the 3rd Gen.

Do I need to drill any holes to install these?

No drilling or clips required. Each shield comes with pre-applied high-bond 3M adhesive tape — peel the backing, line up against the door frame, and press firmly. Allow 24 hours before exposing to heavy rain or car washes for full adhesion.

Can I still go through a car wash with these installed?

Yes — once the 3M adhesive has fully cured (24 hours after install), the shields are rated for normal automated and high-pressure car washes. They will not lift at highway speed either.

Are these the slimline or bubble-style weathershields?

Slimline. These are the low-profile "OEM-plus" style that hugs the door frame, not the older bulky bubble-style monsoon guards. The smoked acrylic looks tinted from outside but is clear enough to see through from the driver's seat.

Will these weathershields fit a 4th Gen Surf or 4Runner?

No — these are contoured specifically for the 3rd Gen (185 series, 1996-2002). The 4th Gen Hilux Surf and 4Runner (2003-2009) has a different door frame profile. Check our Airplex Slimline Weathershield range for 4th Gen fitment.
