Yes. The 1KZ-TE EGR Pipe Delete Kit is designed for the 1KZ-TE 3.0L turbo diesel engine fitted to the 2nd Gen (KZN130) and 3rd Gen (KZN185) Hilux Surf. It also fits the Land Cruiser Prado (KZJ78 / KZJ90 / KZJ95) and Hilux / Hiace with the same engine.

Will this fit the 5VZ-FE petrol or 1KD-FTV diesel?

No. This kit is engineered specifically for the 1KZ-TE intake and exhaust flange dimensions. It does not fit the 5VZ-FE V6 petrol or the later 1KD-FTV common-rail diesel.

Do I need to recode my ECU after fitting this EGR delete?

Generally no. The 1KZ-TE ECU does not throw a fault for a deleted EGR pipe in most cases, and the engine runs cleanly without it. Every vehicle is slightly different, so check after install — most owners report no issues.

Will this delete cause a Check Engine Light?

On a healthy 1KZ-TE, fitting the full EGR pipe delete typically does not trigger a Check Engine Light, because the 1KZ ECU does not actively monitor EGR flow. If a light does appear it is usually pre-existing from another sensor unrelated to the EGR.
