The platform bolts together from the two long sides, eight cross bars and a wind deflector, then mounts to your roof tracks on six brackets. Lay everything out before you start and use the letters in the parts list below, as the steps refer to them.

Before you start: do you have roof tracks?
The platform mounts to the factory roof tracks. The brackets bolt into the track channel, they don't bolt straight to the roof skin.
- 3rd Gen with factory tracks: you're ready to go.
- 2nd Gen, or any truck with no tracks: you'll need tracks fitted first. We sell a 2nd Gen bundle that includes the Yakima tracks, which bolt to the roof and give the platform something to mount to.

Building the platform
Step 1: Cross bars to the long sides
Bolt the eight cross bars (C) between the two long sides (A) with the black M6 button head bolts and washers (D and E). Leave them slightly loose until the whole frame is together, then tighten.

Step 2: Wind deflector
Bolt the wind deflector (B) to the front cross bar with the button head bolts and washers (D and E), using the slide-in nuts (O) in the cross bar channel.

Step 3: Brackets to the cross bars
Six brackets go on: the two adjustable front brackets (L and M) and the four centre and rear brackets (N). Slide a nut (O) into the cross bar channel and bolt each bracket on with an M6 bolt, spring washer and washer (F, G and H). Don't fully tighten yet, so you can line them up with the tracks.

Mounting it on the roof
Step 4: Track bolts
Twist the M6 track bolts (I) into the factory roof tracks where the brackets will land.
Step 5: Lift it on and bolt it down
With a helper, lift the platform onto the roof and sit the brackets over the track bolts. Fit a penny washer and nylock nut (K and J) on each one. Set the adjustable front brackets so the rubber feet sit on the roof, check the platform is centred and level, then tighten everything: track nuts first, then the bracket bolts on the cross bars.

Step 6: Check it
Give the platform a firm shake from each corner. Re-check every bolt after the first few drives.
Common questions
How much weight can it carry?
270kg when the truck is parked, for example people in a rooftop tent, and 90kg while driving.
I need more track nuts or a spare cross bar
We sell the slide-in T-nuts and extra cross bars separately, handy for mounting an awning or a light bar.
